Three different models
Toast – For XC and trails
Toast is the lightest one of the three MegaNorris™ models, meant to be used in XC or light trail riding. The structure consists of a thick layer of soft compound. Weight when measured at full 29″ length: 141 grams @ 60mm / 125 grams @ 55mm width.
Sandwich – For trail and enduro
The sandwich has two different compound layers; soft and hard. Hard layer sits right on the rim, preventing the hardest of impacts. Softer compound smooths the small impacts, working as an additional suspension member. MegaNorris™ Sandwich is meant to be used on rough trails and enduro riding. Weight when measured at full 29″ length: 220 grams @ 60mm width / 200 grams @ 55mm width.
Hamburger – For enduro racing and downhill
Two hard compound layers with one soft between them. The beefiest of all MegaNorris™ models, the hamburger is aimed for those riding downhill or racing enduro on the highest level. While testing MegaNorris™ Hamburger tire inserts, Pole Bicycles EWS Pro team did manage to race a whole 2019 season without a single flat tire. Hamburger might weight quite a lot, but the performance is well worth the weight. Weight when measured at full 29″ length: 280 grams @ 60mm width or 250 grams @ 55mm width.
Sizing
Each of the three MegaNorris™ models comes in two different widths; 55mm & 60mm. 55mm wide models are for rims that have an internal width of 28-34mm (1.1-1.34 inch). 60mm wide models are for rims that have an internal width of 33-40mm (1.34-1.57 inch).

Mix and match
Impacts and forces are different for front and rear tyre. Here are some common mixes of MegaNorris™ models based on the use case.
XC style riding
Trails with some roots and rocks but without drops or big rock gardens.
Suggestion: Toast in the back wheel, nothing in the front wheel.
Singletrack (trail)
Trails including more harsh features than XC trails, putting more pressure and heavier impacts on both tires.
Suggestion: Toast in both wheels.
Enduro, light
Some drops, high-speed bumps, lots of roots and big rock gardens.
Suggestion: Sandwich in the rear wheel, toast in the front wheel.
Enduro, hard
Full speed enduro riding with hard impacts.
Suggestion: Sandwich in both wheels.
EWS
Suggestion: Hamburger in the rear, sandwich in the front.
Downhill
Suggestion: Hamburger in both wheels.
Properly tested by riders
We spent over two years deveolping MegaNorris™ line-up to be as good as it gets. EWS pro riders Leigh Johnson and Joseph Nation raced the whole season 2019 with MegaNorris™ Hamburger in both wheels and had zero flat tires or broken wheels during it. We’ve also tested the product with enthusiastic weekend warriors and amateur level racers and the opinions have been unanimous: MegaNorris™ is an a** kicking tire insert.
Installation
Installation of MegaNorris™ is as simple as any tubeless setup, just slip the insert in before installing the second bead on the rim.
- Install one bead on the wheel.
- Slip in the MegaNorris insert, continue tubeless setup normally and go ride!
- Make sure that the dark compound is facing the wheel on Sandwich model.

Tire pressure
The great thing about any Huck Norris insert is that you are able to ride safely with an optimal tire pressure. Not too hard or not too low. MegaNorris™ insert sits on top of the rim, supporting the tire significantly. With MegaNorris™ insert, you can for example run with 1.5bar tire pressure. Experiment with your wheel, insert and tire setup to find the best setup for you, your bike and your style of riding.
